Bob “the Cat” Bevan is regarded as the UK’s leading after-dinner entertainer.
There aren’t many stars of sport and show business with whom he has not worked.
His material is suitable for all audiences whether sporting or corporate.
He was awarded the MBE by HM the Queen -
probably the first for after-dinner speaking, and appears in Who’s Who.
He has written material for William Hague, Lord Coe, Sir David Frost and many others.
He has even written and performed two poems for the Duke of Edinburgh who responded last summer by writing one verse about him!

Bob at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) during his latest tour Down Under. He appeared at 15 functions alongside many big names ranging from former Prime Minister John Howard, at a lunch for over 700 in Adelaide, to Richie Benaud, Sir Ian Botham, Tony Greig, Ian Healy, Justin Langer and Sir Michael Parkinson. Read on and you’ll see why he is due back in both 2012 and 2013.

Bob’s appearances in Oz were not restricted to cricket – or animals! He appeared at several of the prestigious Carbine Club functions and the Australian Hotels Association Charity Golf Day.

His journalistic skills came into play as he produced an Alternative Ashes Diary for the www.testmatchextra.com website. If you would like a copy of this highly amusing collection of anecdotes get in touch (see last page) .

Back Home


On his first day back Bob was very proud to accept an invitation from Kent County Council to become an Ambassador for the County.

Then he was back in the groove at the Annual Dinner of Woburn Golf Club

Key to a Good Host

Kent and England batsman Rob Key picked The Cat to lead his Benefit Launch Lunch and use his interviewing skills on 2005 Ashes hero Steve Harmison.

....and there have been many more at all sorts of events from a lunch with the Abba Girls to the Annual Conference of the Association of Consulting Actuaries. “An actuary is an accountant who is dead by the time we find out he’s got his figures wrong,” said Bob. He thinks they laughed.
